New resource: A Policy Agenda for Canadian Municipalities to Advance Sustainability

The Royal Roads University Canada Research Chair on Sustainable Community Development has released a new publication: A Policy Agenda for Canadian Municipalities to Advance Sustainability.

Drawing on the results of the Sustainable Cities Strategic Review released earlier this year in partnership with the Sustainability Solutions Group, the Policy Agenda highlights two key needs for effective sustainability planning:

  • clear, multi-level governance arrangements to bring key stakeholders to the table

  • accurate data to measure progress toward strategic outcomes

FCM joined representatives from 16 Canadian cities and districts on the Sustainable Cities Strategic Review project advisory team.
