Reducing Calgary's Ecological Footprint

The City of Calgary has launched an initiative to
reduce Calgary’s ecological footprint.

Ecological footprint measures people’s demand on nature. It includes the resources consumed and the waste generated and compares this to what the earth is able to provide. It enables people to understand the impacts of their individual actions and can inform policy and political decision-making.

The city has provided many useful tips and tools to help citizens and well as corporate and industrial organizations to reduce their own footprints.

For more information, visit the City of Calgary’s ecological footprint website.
